What:

Bridge To Basel Exists To Assist, Educate And Expose Minority Creatives Who Are Pursuing Careers In The Creative, Arts, Or Fashion Industry With The Tools, History And Information About Art Basel Miami.

Why:

Bridge To Basel Serves To Demystify The Predominantly White Art Industry While Simultaneously Making Art Basel More Accessible To BIPOC Creatives Who Take A Sincere Interest In It. Bridge To Basel Will Allow A Small Cohort Of Minority Students Chosen To Participate To Gain A Working Knowledge And Full Understanding Of The Function Of Art Basel Miami And Insert Themselves In An Industry That Doesn't Often Show Them A Reflection Of Themselves. 


How Does It Work:

Bridge To Basel Will Provide Tickets To Art Basel Miami For A Small Cohort Of Minority Students in the Miami/South Florida Area. The Bridge To Basel Cohort Will Learn About The Function And Inner Workings Of The Art Industry.


Participant Expectations:

After A Week Spent At Art Basel Miami, The Student Cohort Will Be Responsible For Turning In A Final Capstone Project Which Illustrates How Each Student Will Use Their Recent Experience To Get Further Ahead In Their Respective Industry And Career. The Student With The Best Capstone Project Will Win A Significant Monetary Award To Fund Their Specific Discipline Or A Current Project.


How Can I Participate:

Submit A Completed Application Which Includes Your Creative Portfolio Or A Link To Your Website,Your Resume And A 500 Word Personal Statement Before The Deadline. The Application Deadline Is At 12am EST On NOVEMBER 15TH, 2024


Who's Eligible:

Must Be A Miami/South Florida area Resident To Apply For The 2024 Bridge To Basel Competition

Minority Creatives Ages 18 - 40 Years Old Who Identify As BIPOC ( Black, Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaskan Native, Desi, Asian, Pacific Islander, Chicanx or Latinx) in the Miami/South Florida area.

Must Be Actively Pursuing A Career In The Fashion, Arts, Or Creative Industry
